A Set of 2 Bedside Tables / Occasional Tables

A set of Bedside / Occasional Tables with the old linen fold design on the drawers.

This was a dressing table in solid oak destined for the dump as no one wanted it.

It was offered to us to see if we could do something with it.

72cm high, 34cm wide, 51cm deep, so lovely deep drawers but the cabinets are narrow so not taking up huge amounts of space either side of your bed.

The middle bit where the table top was removed, the sides were rebuilt and I added edging and carved it to look seamless and it turned out perfect!

Painted in Soapstone by Fusion Mineral Paint UK

A large stencil was added using textured pastes from Re·design with Prima
The inside of the drawers I continued the bird theme and added in the beautiful Engblad & Co Dancing Crane Special Edition Wallpaper in grey and gold from Beut.
I then mixed some Cast Iron Paint and Clear Glaze to add some depth to the units. Handles were stripped and I applied Gold rub & buff especially used to freshen up handles.
Finished with General Finishes satin varnish.
